all men are equal

islam is the religion of equality. muslims believe that all people are the servants of one god. neither money nor outward appearances can make one person superior to another. in islam the only factors which would make one superior to another are one's greater degree of knowledge, the ability to stay away from bad deeds, good manners and helping people more than other people do. islam is the religion of brotherhood. thus, it requires that muslims should live as brothers with love and kindness to each other. when people need help or guidance we should give them brotherly assistance and advice. god says, "people who have faith are brothers and sisters to one another." he also tells them, "all men are equal before god. no one should consider himself more virtuous than another because he has more money or has a different color of skin, or because he belongs to a higher class family. the only fact that makes a person more virtuous than another is by having strong faith in god, by doing good deeds and by having superior knowledge. god loves those who strive hard for the cause of god and help those people in need. prophet muhammad called all people to islam. khadijah, his wife, and imam ali ( who later became the first imam,) were the first people to accept islam.
