On the side of the foreign, alien enemy, there are some domestic elements, who are opposed to the revolution and lend full support to the foreign enemy to nullify the Islamic contents of this revolution. These elements are the ones who were engaged in plundering the material and spiritual wealth of the nation during the domination of the oppressive Pahalvi regime and whose hands are tainted with the blood of the self-sacrificing, devoted Iranian nation. They are the ones who opposed the Islamic aspects of the system such as the rule of jurisprudent, law of retaliation (qisas), and the entire Islamic system from the very beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. They also opposed the Leadership Experts Assembly, the Guardian Council of the Constitution and their Islam was termed as the American-style Islam by Imam Khomeini.
"Of course the honorable, vigilant, devoted nation should bear in mind that there are some who are unfortunately designated as Iranian, belong to this land and territory, claim to be intellectual and have political insight, but cannot realize this clear, vivid reason; they are opposed to the Islamic Republic. While they observe that the satans, evils, bullies, and the hated systems of the world are hostile to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Their conscience is dead, and the eyes of their heart blinded, even if they might have political understanding and be among the so-called intellectuals."[48]
