4-2-Opposition of the Hegemonic, Corrupt Powers to Religious System

The endless animosity of the hegemonic, corrupt powers and the evils of
the world against the revolution has its roots in the Islamic nature of the
revolution. Not all revolutions of the world have been secure against the
transgression of the arrogant powers; but the volume, degree, vigor, and
expanse of the attacks against the Islamic Revolution are not comparable with
those against any other revolution. The animosity of the evils ruling the
nations and governments itself underlines the specific characteristic of the
Islamic Revolution. This great feature, which terrified the evils, was its
extraterritorial effects. The animosities and the nature of the enemies are in
itself an outstanding indicator underlining the righteousness of the revolution
and the strong role of "Islam, faith and religious belief" in it. Although the
corrupt powers resort to such accusations as violation of human rights or
support for terrorism in order to justify their hostilities against the
Islamic Revolution and through their propaganda empire have launched a
disinformation campaign against it, the truth is clear and not hidden from the
insightful eyes.

"The superpowers oppose our revolution. Those governments and leaders
who control some parts of the world and interfere in the affairs of the nations
other than their own nations are the embodiment of evilness and corruption.
The leaders of great satanic powers, whose existence is the embodiment of
evilness or corruption, are opposed to this revolution from the bottom of their
hearts."[45]

Contrary to other great revolutions of the world, the Islamic
Revolution of Iran relied and still relies on the divine faith. This was why
its founder did not fear the threats of the materialistic powers: "And with
regard to those left behind, who have not yet joined them, their glory is the
fact that on them is no fear, nor have they grieve."[46]
Islamic, divine, spiritual faith means reliance on God. Such a reliance, first
of all helps man not to fear the enemy and then encourages him to pin his hopes
on the divine assistance; secondly, one who has faith in God and acts for Him
and maintains that his acts are in the way of God discharges his duties and
even if he is killed, he is victorious, for our duty is performance of responsibilities
and acting. We have acted, performed our duty, and left our impact on the
history.

"Their animosity against this nation and the Islamic system is indeed
hostility towards Islam. Why are they hostile to Islam? Because Islam does not
allow the people to surrender to the aggressing enemy. Islam preserves the
revolution and does not allow the enemy to once again dominate the country.
Islam prevents the nation from surrendering to the enemy. Hence, they oppose
Islam as an obstacle They are opposed to Islam because it connects the
believers to God and strengthens their hearts through its daily prayers,
fasting, and religious taxes, making [as firm a human being as] a mountain out
of every human being. Such a nation does not surrender to the enemy and does
not bow before it. They are afraid of this very reality. This is why they are
annoyed and hate such an Islam."[47]
