More Help

So there you have a quick sightseeing tour of Mac OS X Tiger, the most advanced operating system available on a personal computer. If you spend an hour or two exploring on your own, I am confident you will get the hang of things.

But if you run into problems, the Apple Help system and Apple Support Web site have a wealth of information available. If you want to invest in a book, I am pleased to recommend these titles by my fellow Peachpit authors:

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger: Visual QuickStart Guide , by Maria Langer;

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger: Peachpit Learning Series and

The Robin Williams Mac OS X Book, Tiger Edition , both by Robin Williams; and

Getting Started with Your Mac and Mac OS X Tiger: Peachpit Learning Series , by Scott Kelby.

Also, in my last book, I wrote a long chapter intended to help Windows users migrate to Mac. It's for an earlier version of Mac OS X, but most of the information still applies. I've turned the chapter into a PDF file, and it is available upon request. Visit www.peachpit.com/coursey for details.
