Conclusion
In this chapter, we have explained how to organize both our data and calculations such that Excel can readily use them and how to use query tables to access data in external databases, and efficiently link them to pivot tables. We've also explained how to identify and perform calculations on subsets of our data, using advanced filters, database functions and array formulas. We have also lifted the lid on the intentional use of circular references in our applications and explained how to remain in control when doing that.Armed with these techniques, we can include efficient, robust and scalable data processing in our Excel applications and can easily cope with the most complex data-handling requirements. |
