Auditing Resources and Events

In this chapter, you will learn about the Microsoft Windows 2000 Local Security Policy. One of the features controlled by Local Security Policy is auditing. Auditing is a tool for maintaining network security that allows you to track user activities and systemwide events. In addition, you will learn about audit policies and what you need to consider before you set one up. You will also learn how to set up auditing on resources and how to maintain security logs.
