Chapter 20: Build an XML Database OCI Application

Overview

XML. The reason that these do not have the prefix OCI is that they are the same APIs that can be used for stand-alone XDK applications.

In this chapter we show you how to create an OCI program by using these new APIs and connecting to the database. There is a fair amount of boilerplate OCI code that is necessary for all OCI applications. We are not going to spend time explaining this code since it can simply be copied and pasted into your application without alteration.
