Q1: | What is a layer Group? |
A1: | A layer Group is a folder that can contain a series of layers. It can be used both to organize a multilayered document and to apply layer styles or blending modes to a whole series of layers at once. |
Q2: | Is there a quick way to create a layer Group to contain a bunch of layers? I have a bunch of layers I'd like to be in a group. Is there an easier way than creating a layer Group and then dragging each layer into the folder? |
A2:
| Select all the layers, then from the Layers palette's flyout menu, choose New Group from Layers, or press Command-G (PC: Control-G) after selecting the layers. |
Q3: | Is it possible to link layer Groups? |
A3:
| Yes, Groups can be linked just like layers. Simply select your Groups and click on the Link icon at the bottom of the Layers palette. |
