To install, upgrade, and delete those packages, you can use the rpm command.Besides adding and removing software, the rpm command can be used for a variety of other duties, such as querying the RPM database or verifying the validity of the contents of an RPM package. The rpm command can also be used as a security tool to check installed software against software in the original RPM package, to make sure it hasn't been tampered with.
