Planning is always advised when a system administrator is performing any Windows Server 2003 system task. It is absolutely critical, however, during initial installation and deployment. This chapter provided an overview of planning concepts that should be implemented when deploying a Windows Server 2003 enterprise. It also provided core instructions on installing the basic operating system. Subsequent chapters will explore planning and installation issues relevant to other topics such as the Active Directory.
