The Web Services Architecture
The rest of this book provides a detailed introduction to the Web services architecture. We review the Web services components and mechanisms they build upon in support of the architecture's design. Each feature of the architecture is presented in the context of the specifications where it is defined. Figure 1-1 presents an overview of the functional components required for STAR (Secure Transacted and Reliable) Web services messaging.
