How This Book Is Organized
The material in this book is partitioned into three parts described below. In addition, a CD that has the contents of this book in eBook format plus a collection of reference specifications is provided.Part I, "The Web Services Architecture," introduces the protocols and mechanisms that define the Web services architecture. The material is partitioned into chapters focused on particular features and ordered to respect any dependencies that might exist across specifications. Protocols are introduced in order of increasing complexity.Part II, "Example Scenarios," contains running examples that show the concrete use of all the protocols in the Web services architecture through sample messages or message fragments. The examples are built up in stages that generally follow the same order as Part I does.Part III, "Appendixes," provides additional reference material and background information.Note
