1. | Open Captivate and select "Record new movie" on the Start page or select File > Record or create a new movie. |
2. | Select your capture area size and click OK.The Recording window opens. |
3. | Click the Options button and select the Change Recording Keys tab.The Recording Keys window opens. Note the start and stop keys used in the Insert Full Motion Clip area; the defaults are F9 to start recording and F10 to stop recording (Figure 3.26).Figure 3.26. 4. | Click OK to return to the Recording window. |
5. | Make any necessary adjustments to the size and position of the bounding box, and click the Record button. |
6. | Press the F9 key to start the full motion recording. |
7. | Complete your task and press the F10 key to stop recording. |
8. | Press the End key.You are returned to the Storyboard View panel. The recording, with a video camera icon, appears in the in thumbnails (Figure 3.27).Figure 3.27. The icon for a slide containing a full motion recording uses a video camera.

1. | In either the Storyboard View or Edit View panel, select Insert > Record Additional Slides.The Recording window opens. |
2. | Select where the additional slides should be placed in the movie and click OK. |
3. | Make any necessary adjustments to the size of the bounding box and click the Record button. |
4. | Press the F9 key to start the full motion recording. |
5. | Complete your task and press the F10 key to stop recording. |
