The ability to reuse formatting options and apply them to multiple reports is a new feature in Crystal Reports that has been implemented as templates. Some templates are prebuilt from Crystal Decisions; others can be created from scratch using template field objects or sourced off an existing report file. All templates are stored in one location, and their title alias is displayed as a template name to apply to a report. Templates can be removed from a report, refreshed, and reapplied.
