the very kind prophet

the holy prophet of islam had always been very kind, caring and helpful to
the weak people, the old ones and the children. even in prayer he would not
lengthen his sajdah or ruku' beyond the necessary amount of time for the
sake of children or the weak and old people.
one day against his usual manners his sajdah became very long. one of his
companions says, "i finished my sajdah as usual but i found the prophet still
in sajdah then i made sajdah again until i heard the prophet finished his
sajdah and no one knew why the prophet made his sajdah so long.
after the prayer one person asked the prophet about his very long sajdah
and the prophet replied, "during sajdah my small child, hassan came and sat
on my back and i did not want to be harsh on the child".
the holy prophet would love children so much that he would say to his companions,
"to be kind and friendly with the children is of the manners of the prophets.
whoever does not respect the elders and is not kind to the children he is
not of the muslims".
