life in the hereafter
sa'id is nine years old. he is in third grade. he is curious and intelligent.
he asks questions and wants answers.
one day he asked his mother, "every day we get up, do breakfast, father goes
to work, he comes home in the evening, after dinner we go to bed. next day
the same thing happens. why is it so, mother? we grow and become old and
then die. it does not make sense. we live and just die. all we do is just
eat, do some work, get old and then die. there is nothing important in it.
there must be some thing more important and more interesting.
his mother said, "sa'id, our works are not without meaning and results. we
do not finish with death. after we die, in the next life we will see the
complete results of our deeds and works. in the next life we will live forever.
people with good deeds will go to paradise and enjoy the good results of
their good deeds. the bad people and criminals go to hill and suffer for
their bad deeds.
the blessings of the next life are of the highest and best degrees. there
is no blessing in this world that could be of the same degree as those in
the next life. in paradise we will always be under the special care and attention
and love of allah. good people will continue receiving new blessings and
bounties from allah with joy and everlasting happiness.
allah says, "we have not created you and the world without a purpose. you
will come to us in the next life.
