prophet's teachings

how to behave and treat each other
when muhammad became a prophet in arabia most people knew nothing about good
behavior and respect.
they treated each other very badly. they didn't know how to enter each other's
houses or speak to one another properly.
they would enter each other's houses without permission. they wouldn't say
"salam alaikum" to one another. they treated each other like enemies and
spoke bad words to one another.
gradually prophet muhammad taught them how to speak and treat one another.
today, centuries after the time of the prophet muhammad (p.b.u.h.) we have
made great progress, we pay more attention to the orders of the prophet of
islam and we learn the proper way of speaking and treating one another.
we now know that; before entering a room or a house with its door closed,
we must knock first. we should not knock too hard lest we bother the people
inside, nor too soft so that it might not be heard.
after knocking we should not rush inside but wait until we are invited inside.
when we meet people in the street, whom we know, we should say, "salam alaikum"
to them.
while in the street, we should walk in such a way so as to not bump into
anybody. if we are walking in a big crowd, we should walk behind one another
in order to avoid blocking someone else's way.
when we want something from someone, we must say, "please," and when we get
it, we must say, "thank you.
when we ask our teachers about something we should say,"please answer this
question for me." after we get the answer, we should say, "thank you."
during the class, while the teacher is teaching, we should not talk to one
another. when someone is talking, we should remain quiet and listen.
when we have something to say, we should raise our hands, ask for permission
from the teacher, and then speak.
we should never bother other people. during the class we should be careful
that our pencils, books, and other belongings do not fall off the desk and
cause a disturbance.
when others are sleeping we should not make any noise but should be very
quiet. if we are playing near to the house of someone, we should be careful
not to bother anybody in that house.
we should always be careful not to hurt anybody.
