John Elliott, CCIE No. 2095, is a consulting system engineer at Cisco Systems, Inc., where he has been employed since 1996. John's previous work with radio networks led him to specialize in Aironet products from the initial acquisition by Cisco. Previously, John was a software engineer for 10 years developing communications code for diverse systemsincluding phone switches, minicomputers, and embedded systemsand later spent five years deploying large networks around the globe using technologies from dial to high-speed leased lines. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science degree in computer science.Charles Sablatura has more than 23 years of experience with wide-area and local-area wireless network sales and support. In addition to being one of the founding partners and vice president of training services for GigaWave Technologies, Charles is a wireless training specialist for GigaWave Technologies and is a certified Cisco Systems instructor. Since May 2000, he has conducted training for Cisco Systems Aironet Wireless LAN 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g product set. Throughout his career, Charles has performed more than 250 site surveys and 200 hundred installations involving WLAN and bridging equipment from various vendors. These site surveys and installations have been in a wide variety of environments such as electrical generation plants, chemical refineries, steel mills, aluminum smelting plants, hospitals, retail, distribution, pharmaceutical manufacturing, ISP last mile, and education. |
