Final Verification
Regardless of which site survey method you choose, conduct a walkabout for verification after the system has been installed. For this task, use the same tools and guidelines for boundary values as the manual survey uses. Perform a walkabout of the perimeter, as well as any locations that might cause RF shadows, interference, or multipath areas. Test whether you can roam from one AP to another without dropping below the recommended cell boundary values, including packet retry counts. The use of a tool such as AirMagnet Surveyor helps to document this task for addition to the final report and documentation. |
