Chapter 6, "Preparing for a Site Survey," the pre-site survey should be completed before the survey begins, and the final survey report is developed as the survey progresses and finished as the final step. As with any network project, the more complete the documentation, the easier the network is to manage, troubleshoot, and expand. Missing, incomplete, or faulty documentation can lead to time-consuming tasks for the IT management, expansion, and maintenance teams.

During the survey, the site survey engineer must keep accurate notes and later record detailed information on the site survey document that gets delivered to the customer. In most cases, this document is the final product for the site survey team, and is what the customer is really paying for. This chapter details the final site survey documentation that will be delivered to the customer.
