DIALOGUE AMONG CIVILIZATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Dr. Beikzadeh holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from
Essex University. He is the Deputy for Research in Telecommunications
Research Center and Information Technology in Iran. Previously, he was head
of Information Technology planning for Informational Technology National
Strategies. He has also been a Lecturer in universities. He has published
papers on Artificial Intelligence application in telecommunications, expert
system and VLSI design.
It is time to theorize the idea of Dialogue among
Civilizations. The idea that may change the world future. Information Technology
would play an important role in realization of this idea. In this paper the
trends of information and communication in the minds of philosophers and
theoreticians have been reviewed in order to clarify the role of IT in forming
civilizations in the history. The main goal of this paper is to define the power
of communication and impression in civilizations development to declare that IT
would be able to ease and enable dialogue among nations in the third
millennium.
