THE BASIS OF DIALOGUE AMONG CIVILIZATIONS IN ISLAMIC SOURCES

The purpose of this paper is to study the instructions of Islam
with regard to dialogue among civilizations. Equality and respectability of all
human beings despite their differences, peace, justice, tolerance towards
others, and authenticity of various sources of knowledge, encouragement of
logical discussions and dialogues, are lessons that could be found in Islamic
sources.
The evidences from Islamic sources such as Holy Qur'an, hadith,
etc. about above mentioned subjects would be presented in this paper to reflect
Islam's view towards these topics.
Also the means and practical ways of achieving dialogue among
civilizations towards a peaceful world, which have been introduced in Islamic
sources, will be discussed.
