Nietzsche argues that there is only one respectable person all
through the holy book and he is Pilat, the Roman Emperors' successor, whose
valuable and noble Irony "what is the truth?" in response to a person who
insolently had deplored the truth before him, actually has enriched the holy
book.
Asking about the truth, is the most fundamental question, which
has challenged human's mind and he has always been looking for the answer for
the following question throughout the history: "what is the truth?" Is it an
objective or a subjective? Is it an absolute concept or not? If it is so, does
man obtain it absolutely?
Different understandings from the concept of truth have caused
the human beings stand in opposite sides of the line: clash or dialogue among
civilizations. This essay aims to show that talking about "Dialogue among
civilizations" is possible when at least from epistemological point of view,
human beings believe that the truth cannot be absolute. It has been tried in
this essay to show how much the concept of the truth is related to dialogue
among civilizations.
