If all these commands look like way more trouble than they’re worth, you have alternatives. The most popular FTP program these days is undoubtedly our old Web-browsing friends Mozilla and Konqueror. By entering the FTP site as a URL, you can download files with the simple click of a mouse. (You can’t download multiple files at one time, as you can with xftp or xdir or even with the mget command from plain FTP, but everything has its drawbacks.)
