Now that you know how to record, arrange, and mix your songs in GarageBand, it's time to learn how to export your songs to iTunes so that you can share them with other iLife applications, download them onto your iPod, and even burn them to a CD.

The capability to share your GarageBand songs with the other iLife applications is one of the greatest features of the entire iLife suite. All of the iLife applications, including GarageBand, are designed to work together seamlessly. This means you can write music in GarageBand, export your songs to iTunes, and use your custom music in your iPhoto slideshows, in iMovie videos, and in iDVD, either as background music for your DVD menu or as part of your DVD movies and slideshows.

The focus of this lesson is learning how to prepare your GarageBand projects for exporting to iTunes. You'll also export your projects to a playlist in iTunes and learn how to use your new GarageBand playlist in iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD.
