StylesOpenOffice Writer is installed with many built-in styles. To apply styles, use the Stylistthe list box shown in Figure 11-1that provides the available styles, listed by type. The icons across the top of the Stylist select the type of style listedparagraph, character, frame, page, and numbering. To apply a style from the Stylist, select the object to be for matted (e.g., click on a paragraph or page or highlight some characters), click the appropriate icon on the top of the Stylist, and double-click the desired style in the list. You can also apply styles using the drop-down list on the object toolbar, as you can in Word. The drop-down list contains the styles that currently are in use in the document.To create or modify a style, click Format on the menu bar and select Style Catalog. The window in Figure 11-2 opens.
