Configuration Summary for Mandrake


At this point, Mandrake displays a screen showing a summary of the current configuration settings, as shown in Figure 4-24.

If anything on this screen is incorrect, press Configure to change it. For instance, the time zone is listed as America/New_York. If this is not correct, press Configure and select a different time zone, such as Los_Angeles for the Pacific time zone.

Notice this screen states that the graphical interface is not configured. It must be configured to use a desktop. Pressing Configure allows you to select your monitor from a list and to set the screen resolution you want to use.

When you are satisfied with the configuration in the summary screen and click Next, Mandrake provides the opportunity to update your packages. Unless you just downloaded Mandrake with the most recent packages, updating is a good idea. You need to be connected to the Internet to update.
