Tiered Storage Implementation
The Enterprise Storage Services team is also in the process of gathering requirements for a tiered storage infrastructure that is capable of supporting an Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) program to lower costs and help advance the storage vision.Although utilizing homogeneous storage currently offers significant economies of scale and decreased management costs, over time the ability to support and scale a multiplatform, multi-vendor storage environment offers greater increases in savings and operational efficiencies.
