Total Access Memo
Memo fields in Access are limited to one font and one point size and no paragraph settings. In many situations, this is way too limiting for users accustomed to Windows word processors. Fortunately, FMS's Total Access Memo product addresses this need.Total Access Memo is not designed to replace Word, but if you have a few memo fields that could use rich text format (RTF), it's a great solution. The Total Access Memo control is added to Access forms and reports. Using this full-featured control, you can format the font and character style of selected text in the text box. Furthermore, you can easily export text to an RTF file. Additional features of the control include unlimited undo and redo, bullet points, paragraph alignment and margins, custom line spacing, tabs, color, graphics, and more. It even integrates with your Office spell-checker and the words you've added to your dictionary. A royalty-free runtime license is included so that you can add rich text memo fields to your database and distribute it to others.Figure 31.15 illustrates the sample database that ships with Total Access Memo. Notice the text box at the top of the form. Many different attributes are applied to sections of text within the text box. The example illustrates how very flexible the Total Access Memo control is. The sample database ships with a rich library of source code that programmatically manipulates the Total Access Memo control. You can easily use this source code within the applications that you build.
