  • Add Photos, QuickTime Movies, an255 Files to iDisk

HomePage gets all the photos, movies, and

files from three folders on your iDisk: the Pictures folder, Movies folder, and Sites folder. That means, of course, that before you start a project in HomePage, you must first copy the photos, movies, or

files you want to use to these folders on your iDisk.

    • Log in to your iDisk (see Chapter 6) and drag individual photos or an entire folder of photos from your hard disk to the Pictures folder on your iDisk.290291).

Use images from Apple's Image Library

HomePage provides access to Apple's Image Library in case you don't have pictures of your own to use. If you need a photo while building a site on the following pages, you can select one from iDisk's Image Library folder.Chapter 6, so they will be accessible from HomePage.

    Tip

Photos to be used in HomePage should be saved in the JPEG format with a resolution of 72 pixels per inch.

To keep image sizes and download times reasonable, use maximum image dimensions of 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels tall.

The "Choose" button in a HomePage template opens the "Choose a file" page.
