  • Add Text to a Menu

A menu usually has a title, and menu buttons usually have a descriptive word or two next to them. But you may want more extensive text in a menu that provides comments, a description of the content, or any other creative use you can think of.

    1.

From the Project menu, choose "Add Text." Default text, also known as a text object, appears on the menu that says "Click to edit."

    2.

Double-click the text to select it, then type the text you want to use.

    3.

Click the "Customize" button to open the Customize drawer, then click the "Settings" button.

    4.

Use the pop-up menus in the "Text" section of the Settings pane to customize the text position, font, and color.

You can add as many text blocks as you want. In the example below, we added a second text block so we could make "ROBIN" larger than the rest of the text.

When you add a text object to a menu, by default the text style is based on the menu's title style. Change the font style and size in the Settings pane of the Customize drawer.

Instead of typing, you can copy text from another application, select the default text in a text object, and then paste the new text into the text object.
