Important Note about Backups
If you have very important files, don't rely on one backup. Make at least two, and store them in different locations. People have had their offices broken into and all of the computers stolen, plus all the backup disks. A fire has the same result. So make at least two backups and send one to your mother or your bank vault or your east-coast office.
