  • The Importance of the "Me" Card


    When you first set up your Mac, it made a card for you in Address Book and automatically labeled it "Your Card." It's also known as the "Me Card." This is very important! The information in this card is what Safari will use to AutoFill web page forms for you (see page 401). iChat uses the photo you put on this card and the AIM address. If you send automatic updates of your contact information, this is the card that will be sent.

    You can have more than one card for yourself, but be sure to designate the appropriate one as your card: Select it, then go to the Card menu and choose "Make This My Card." It will have a little figure next to your name, and a small label, "me," on your photo, as shown below.
