Andy Warhol created a revolution in the art world when he took the photo silkscreen process, normally used for commercial mass printing, and used it to create fine art. You may be familiar with his Campbell’s Soup series, the Gumby silkscreens, and perhaps the best-known Marilyn Monroe photo silkscreens. This technique takes you step-by-step through the entire process of creating your own silkscreens in a virtual Photoshop fashion. So pull out an image (perhaps a photo of Marilyn?) and create your own photo silkscreens. Color Plate 40-1 shows the colorful results of this technique.
