Color Coding Layers
Color coding layers is a pretty quick and effective way to separate one type of layer from another. Suppose that you have ten layers that contain brushed shadows and eight layers that contain furniture pieces in a darkened room. Knowing which layer is a shadow and which layer contains a sofa could take a few minutes to figure out. But, if you color code all the shadow layers blue, they’re easy to pick out.To color code a layer:Select the layer that you want to color code in the Layers palette.
