Structure
Strategies for the recovery of the physical plant historically been limited to having an empty facility ready to move into (not a good business decision), moving in with another business unit that has sufficient space (again, not efficient from a business perspective) or having an arrangement set up with a commercial real estate broker. In an area-wide disaster it is often a case of excessive demand facing a limited supply.Recently, mobile recovery sites have become available. While expensive as a concept (both the subscription fee and the usage fee), when used in conjunction with other strategies, this can be quite effective in reducing recovery times.
