Bookmarking Pages
You can keep track of web pages that you like and open them quickly in the future.
1. | Go to the page that you want to add. |
2. | Choose Favorites > Add to Favorites (Figure 13.11 ).Figure 13.11. Press Ctrl+D to make the current page appear instantly at the bottom of your Favorites list (bypassing the dialog box in step 3).![]() |
3. | Type a new name for the favorite, if you like. |
4. | Optional. Click Create In to choose the folder (or create a new folder) to store the favorite in. |
5. | Click OK. |

![]() | As your Favorites menu grows, you can organize your bookmarks into folders: Choose Favorites > Organize Favorites (or press Ctrl+B) (Figure 13.12 ). It's easier, however, to work in the Favorites folder directly than to use the Organize Favorites dialog box. Your home page appears each time you start Internet Explorer. When you first open IE, you may see www.msn.com or your PC manufacturer's page, but you can change that.To change your home page:
1. | Go to your desired home page. |
2. | Choose Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Home Page section (refer to Figure 13.7). |
3. | Click Use Current to set the web page that you have open as your home page.or Click Use Default to use the home page that was set when Internet Explorer was first installed.or Click Use Blank to use a blan233 page as your home page. |
