Synchronizing from Mobile to Pro
Once you've transferred a database to your handheld, you're sure to make changes and corrections as you work with it. Just as you needed to prepare the main database before you transferred it to your handheld, you'll need to prepare your Mobile database before transferring in the opposite direction.
To synchronize a FileMaker database
1 .Turn on your handheld, choose FileMaker from its main menu, and select the first database you want to synchronize.2 .On the handheld, choose Record > Show All Records. To make sure that all changes you've made in the handheld are transferred, your found set must be the entire database. Otherwise, only the changes in the records in the found set will be synchronized.3 .On your desktop computer, open the same FileMaker database that's open on the handheld. Check its current found set to make sure that the records you've transferred to the handheld are all included. If not, perform a find to select the right group of records or choose Record > Show All Records if both versions contain the entire database.4 .Repeat steps 2 and 3 for as many FileMaker databases as you need to synchronize.5 .On your computer, launch FileMaker Mobile. In the FileMaker Mobile window, highlight the first database to synchronize. Click the Mobile Settings button (Figure 12.56).
