6.2 SUMMARY
Customizing the ovw GUI is both flexible and simple. Many customizations, such as adding submap backgrounds, automatic layout of symbols, symbol hiding, and creation of executable symbols, can be achieved from within the ovw GUI. These customizations allow each NNM user to tailor the environment based on job roles and responsibilities. Submaps are more easily managed, devices are more easily located, and frequently used applications can be easily executed with a double click (when executable symbols are defined). By allowing such customization, the NNM user can become more efficient at managing the network. |
