10.3 CONFIGURING THE HIERARCHICAL SUBMAP BUILDER The Hierarchical Submap Builder (HSB) is enabled on NNM maps by default. The HSB contains two configurations, only one of which may be modified after a map has been created. The two configurations include- Should the hierarchical submap builder be enabled for this map?
- Should the hierarchical submap builder show ungrouped organizations?
The default value for both configurations is True. The first configuration, "Should the hierarchical submap builder be enabled for this map?" can only be set when a map is initially created. The second configuration, "Should the hierarchical submap builder show ungrouped organizations?" may be modified on a map that is opened in read/write mode. The following steps allow you to access and modify the HSB configuration: Start NNM.ovw& Select Map Properties .Select the application Hierarchical Submap Builder and click [Configure For This Map…] .Select False to disable the ungrouped customer organizations. This enables organizations that have been grouped using the set_organization_group command in ovcustomer. This allows you to limit the customers displayed on a map if they have not been assigned to a group.Click [Verify] and [OK] twice.Assuming a customer named MomNPop and a group named small, assign the existing customer to a group:ovcustomer set_organization_group MomNPop small Open the Customers submap from the NNM root submap. You should now see the group name "small" and no other customers. Open the "small" group to verify that MomNPop was added to the group. |
