Saving FilesUse the Save As dialog box to specify whether a InDesign should save your file as a document or template (Figure 27-2). This choice has the same effect as choosing Document or Template in the Save As dialog box in QuarkXPress. The default, InDesign 2.0 Document, saves a normal InDesign 2.0 file; choose the InDesign 2.0 Template option to be able to create new, untitled InDesign documents that use the current file's settings and contents. And although InDesign can open XPress files, there's no built-in way to save InDesign files as XPress files (though Markzware has an XTension called ID2QX that lets you do this). |
