Setting the Search Range
In QuarkXPress you can search the current story or the current document. InDesign can find/change using both these search ranges, and it can also search a text selection, multiple stories, or all open documents. In the Search menu, select the range to be searched: Selection, Story, Stories, To End of Story, Document, or All Documents. (The choices are context sensitive, so Stories is only available if you have more than one story selected with the Selection tool.) Note that InDesign's document searches include the master pages (in XPress, you have to do that as a separate search).
