Converting Tables to Text
It's also possible in both QuarkXPress and InDesign to convert a table to tabbed text. When InDesign does this, it adds tab characters between each column, and return characters at the end of each row. The best reason to do this might be to create tab-delimited text which can be imported back into a spreadsheet application.
