InDesign's Font Folder
Look closely and you'll notice a Fonts folder inside the InDesign folder. Fonts in this folder are only available to InDesign, and you can add fonts (or even aliases or shortcuts to fonts) to the folder at any time, even while InDesign is running. Because the fonts in this Fonts folder are managed by InDesign rather than the system, even if you use a Macintosh you can put Windows fonts in here. Similarly, Multiple Master fonts are no longer supported in Mac OS X, but you can put old font instances that you built in OS 9 into InDesign's Fonts folder in OS X and use them in InDesign.
