Applying Feathering

The Feather feature (in the Object menu or the context menu) lets you create a soft edge to any objecteven text or imported graphics (see Figure 85-2). In the Feather dialog box you can specify the Feather Width and corner appearance (sharp, rounded or diffused). If the command has no effect or makes the original object disappear, the Feather Width value is probably too low or too high.
