Copying Objects from InDesign into Illustrator
Our friend Sandee Cohen discovered that you can also copy paths from InDesign and paste them into Illustrator 10. To do this, you must set InDesign's General Preferences to Copy PDF to Clipboard. We recommend that you only use this method for very simple objects, but it's nice to know you can do it!One tip here: When you paste an InDesign object into Illustrator, you actually get the object plus a clipping mask object. You will probably need to select Release from the Clipping Mask submenu (under the Object menu in Illustrator) and then select Ungroup from the Object menu before you can do anything useful with the shape. Also note that the InDesign object must have a stroke, a fill, or content, or else Illustrator ignores it.
