Chapter 38. Typing and Editing Text
Most of the time, whether you're working with QuarkXPress or InDesign, you import text from a Microsoft Word file (or some other word processor). However, sometimes we need to type text in the program, or do heavy amounts of editing in InDesign after text has already been placed. This chapter gives you some tips on how to do this easily in InDesign. It assumes you already know the basics of text editing on either a Macintosh or Windows computer.Unfortunately, InDesign doesn't have a Story Editor feature like PageMaker (neither does XPress, of course). This makes editing textespecially small text in hard-to-read fontssomewhat annoying, so we hope that we'll see a Story Editor in a future version of InDesign.
