Chapter 47. Hanging Indents and Punctuation This chapter hangs together (pardon the pun) two ways of forming the shape your text columns take. Attributes which shape your text are usually applied at the paragraph level. That is the case with one of the options we discuss here: hanging indents. However, we'll also discuss a feature long prized by typesetters, and one that XPress does not have: the ability to hang punctuation outside the margins of a text frame. InDesign makes this attribute a property of the story , not the paragraph.
